Pete and Al Wheat ley gave a delightful noonday party in the shade of the old apple tree in their yard in Abington, Mass., on July 12. Other classmates present were Dave Dyche, Harry and Frances Holmlund, and Ed and Betty Winsor.

It is hoped that such of you as have access to the magazine Tuck Today saw the inside back-cover picture of the Tuck basketball team of 1925. Captain Earl Daum has as his costars Dick Henry, Phil Van Huyck, SteveCross, and Jim Henretta. Ken Davis is shown in civvies and presumably was manager. A couple of ringers from the Dartmouth Club of '25 were also in the picture, presumably as substitutes.

It is also hoped that none of you missed the article in the June/July issue of the Magazine on Professor John Stearns. If you did, you missed a wonderful account of the DonBartletts' puckish participation in the episode that was the real key to a splendid story.

The rest of these class notes were all written and ready to mail, with a summary of the citations to Dave Dyche and Harry Holmlund as Co-Bequest Chairmen of the Year. Just before the mail went out Robin Robinson's "24-Hour Notice" arrived, containing the citations in full. Robin also stole all the other classmate news, so you are getting abbreviated class notes this month.

A gracious letter of acknowledgement received today from John Van Huyck '53, to the letter written by vote of the class with reference to the deaths of Van and Lou. He certainly does better at corresponding with the class secretary than all the rest of you do.

We are sorry to report the death of RedWins low. A formal obituary will appear elsewhere, but last-minute word is that the Booth bay Harbor Yacht Club has added a new trophy in his memory to be awarded at the Friendship Sloop Races.
