Greetings. You are hereby summoned to appear. . . Oh, sorry, wrong mail. As the leaves begin to turn on the Hanover Plain, and as my readers' stomachs begin to turn reading this lousy intro, we're off on another year of class notes with a new (read earlier) deadline and a new editor who's about to find out just how poorly college graduates are capable of writing. Hope volume three of my ramblings excites you equally as much as its forebears. Now that we've established the proper historical perspective, and now that you've realized that these notes are somewhat more momentous than one reader's characterization of them as merely a bug on the radiator grill of life, let's get on with it.

Headlining this month's stories are a number of nuptial news items, undoubtedly signaling the beginning of round four of the marriage cycle. Leading the way, for once, is distinguished classmate John Reidy and his new wife Maureen Donnelly. J.R., as he's known, is purported to have obtained a law degree from Boston College and was last seen driving around with a Charles town Youth Hockey bumper sticker on his mobile. Maureen, to whom I extend my sincere best wishes and condolences, graduated from Skid more and a program in nurse epidemiology at the New England Medical Center. This column sends its congratulations to the happy couple and looks forward to John's candidacy for the mayor's post in Quincy.

Erstwhile correspondent Joshua Warach also passes along news of his marriage to Alegria Azoulay of El Ksar, Morocco. Joshua and Alegria spent part of June traveling through Spain and Morocco before returning to live in Cambridge, Mass. Joshua is entering his second year of a fellowship in neurology at Massachusetts General and, I must note, has great handwriting for a doctor.

Still on the familial theme, word has arrived from "The damages" that Jim Clamage and his wife Missy are the proud parents of a baby girl, Kristen Leigh, who is described by an obviously unbiased grandmother as an "absolute charmer."

Rich Phillips dropped me a card saying he's changed his address from Naval Station, San Diego, to Chagrin Falls, Ohio. When you get a chance, Rich, fill us in on the background.

That does is for this installment of Titillating Tattlings from the Tropics. See you next month and don't forget to write. Adios.
