Please send in your green cards. So far (October 4) I have only two returns and that means that there are well over hundreds sitting around on some desks or in cubby holes. Dig them out. It only takes a minute and 13 cents.

Catherine Winchester (Mrs. Rueben) and Betty Meleny (Mrs. George) have just returned from a Dartmouth Alumni cruise along the Dnieper River in Russia and report some difficulty with Russian customs over a map dated A.D. 1430. Guess they thought it was a current map.

Dud and Ginney Pope report a very pleasant summer in a rented house in Norwich. They spent a lot of time in Hanover and a lot of time with the "great Ort Hicks '21."

Clarence Goss writes that he recently talked with Kip Cough and that they were going to the Yale game together.

Dartmouth has come of age! There are over a thousand Apples on campus, and the College has even had a Computer Alumni College with 75 in attendance. Their occupations ran from housewives and nurses to investment bankers and hospital presidents. The electronic souce of knowledge is "busting out all over."

Our president, Pete Jones, writes that he is getting used to the necessities of widow erhood and will be in Hanover for Class Officers Weekend (May 4-5, 1985) as will most of the officers of the class.

Mike May wrote to Cap Palmer, congrat ulating him on his prowess as the interim editor of "Skiddoo." Mark Whitman comments that he would appreciate larger type in books, magazines, etc. A bright light and a magnifying glass alongside of the telephone book is very helpful.

Flo Miner had had a delightful visit from Bunny Metzel and reports that Bunny is scheduled for a very fascinating experience in England visiting Truman's teacher of art who is having a one-man show and has invited Bunny.

And speaking of computers and electronics, any kid who sneaked a cigarette behind the barn can tell you that Mom was the world's first smoke detector.

Your secretary and Bee leave in a few days for a tour and cruise starting in Istanbul, erasing the Black Sea and the Danube River to Vienna.

Pete Jones has just phoned that Dick Udall will represent the class at the Alumni Council. Congratulations, Dick.

Again, in closing, let me urge you all to send along the green cards which came along with your class dues bill. They are the main source of class notes; otherwise I have to revert to notations from the issues of The Dartmouth which were printed while we were in college 65 years ago.
