Yeah, spring is here; Tax time, I fear. Lo, my only cheer Is from a can of beer. But lend an ear, For you will hear, News of a peer From far and near.

Springtime puts me in a poetic mood. Richard Reddington has been named vice president of the Chautauqua Institution (School) of Chautauqua, N.Y. Since 1980, Richard has served as director of education, youth, and recreation. He will continue these responsibilities. Under his leadership, the number of scholarship applications has climbed threefold and scholarship money has nearly doubled. He has also improved the quality of courses and student performances in such diverse areas as dance, theater, art, and music. Prior to his appointment at Chautauqua, he taught English, Latin, and math at Albuquerque Academy, where he also served as assistant headmaster. Richard and wife Caran live in Ashville, N.Y., with their three children
Short blurbs: B.J. and Carol Batchelderand Josh and Abby say hello. They enjoyed several sojourns to Snowmass this winter. JudyMcCord says Herb has a new toy - a 6,000gallon Jacuzzi specially designed for Herb. He insists that while he uses it, no one with a harpoon will be let into the house.
Don Kubit was instrumental in allowing the University of Miami Hurricanes to win the national football title. As a member of the Orange Bowl committee, he treated the Nebraska football team to some famous Joe's Stone Crabs. Word has it that the Cornhuskers ate like gluttons and played like stoned crabs.
Arthur "Sandy" McGinnes and his Capitol Corporation announce the acquisition of Micro Media of New England Inc. Sandy is now president of Micro Media (Needham Heights, Mass.), which is a complete microfilming service company. The company also provides records-management consulting and computer-assisted retrieval services. (I have no idea what I am talking about.)
Bob Cahners is president of Cahners and Company, a real estate development and management firm. "Humph" and Pam have two children, Jared (Dartmouth '96) and Kimberly (Dartmouth 2000). When not sailing or cross-country skiing (Robert, are you kidding me?), the Cahnerses are home in Newton Center, Mass. Bob and Pam retreat to Kittery Point, Maine, every weekend.
That's it for this month. The end is here; I shed a tear; Please don't leer As I retreat to my beer
