Happy winter everyone! Judging from the weather reports, everyone has frozen his tukus off at least once this winter. Someone might be sitting on a frozen tukus reading this article right now, so let's get to the news so you can get back to the fire.

Herb Goodrich writes that the Goodrich family (three children: Cindy, nine, Mathew, six, and Steven, two) have returned to Philadelphia after four exciting, years in Brussels.

Ken LaPine, formerly vice president, secretary, and chief counsel of Shaker Savings Association, became a member in October of the law firm of Cavitch, Familo, and Durkin in Cleveland.

Pete Luitweiler has been transferred again. He is now in Houston while his new assignment is vice president, crude oil department, for Gulf Oil. Marlene and three children are well and are glad they moved south to escape another rough Pittsburgh winter.

Herb Weiler, M.D., writes, "As you know, I am an active-duty Navy commander in the Medical Corps, and a staff opthalmologist at the Portsmouth, Va., Naval Hospital. This April, I received board certification in my specialty." He sends his regards to-all.

Hugh Savage has "moved from Seattle to Milwaukee this past spring and loves our new town. Soon after moving, a son was born who joins three sisters. William Hugh was born in June 1978 and is a potential Class of '00 candidate. He started out big at 9 lbs 12½ oz, and that brings my wife's total delivered percentage of babies for four kids to 35 lbs."

Stu Brown, M.D., begins "a two-year assignment with the World Health Organization in charge of training programs of sexually transmitted diseases throughout the world. [We all know what he's talking about, don't we?] Wife Charlotte, Bruce, age four, Granny, and a new child to be born, are all anticipating a fascinating stay in Geneva." Stu has been working at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Ga., since his completion of internal medicine training and Zycan Army tour in Bangkok.

Derick Denby has provided us with some spectacular news. Jim Stewart finally got married and has moved back to Massachusetts from Florida (the first part is the spectacular news). Also, George Morrow got married (more spectacular news). He still lives in New York City.

Steve Cochrane provides us with the following news: "My European odyssey seems openended. After completing my Ph.D. in East European history at the University of Marburg, and after finding academics closed to those seeking new jobs, I cashed in on my Army reserve status and have a GS-12 position near Heidelberg. I have a fine time carrying out my liaison duties with the German authorities and enjoy being addressed as Herr Doktor. Anyone passing through Heidelberg is invited to at least give a call (0621-7303-8369 or 6297). Another Doktor from '64 is here. Lt. Commander AndreSalazar, M.D., is at the Army Hospital in Landstuhl. I saw him at a Munich session of Command General Staff College. I have donated the book form of my disertation to Baker Library as Class of '64 [this is a great idea]."

That's it for this month. "Oh Feet, Oh Sane," or however you say "bye" in German.
