For the past three years Bellamy Schmidt has been plant manager of the General Electric Management Development Institute at Croton-on-Hudson in New York. More than 5,000 upper- and middle-level management personnel attend courses each year. Bellamy is soon to be busier with a $10-million upgrading of facilities being proposed for the near future. The campus began with a single farmhouse once owned by Fannie Hurst which was purchased in 1954 by GE for its education center. Before assuming his present position, Bellamy worked for GE's European headquarters for five years.

Ted Kingsbury has been living for the past three years in Augusta, Ga., where he applies his computer and electronic skills to help design, develop, modify, and otherwise support various research projects in neurology at the Medical College of Georgia. Prior to that, he provided similar services at the Medical College of Virginia. One such project he mentioned is a clinical/research procedure which measures regional cerebral blood flow. Although he holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry, it was his interest and abilities with computers that steered him toward his present work. Needless to say, Ted's initial interest in computers began at Dartmouth, when he played football and other games on the teletype. Ted's wife teaches art in the local public school and they both enjoy fixing up their house. They also share an interest in food - she cooks, he eats. I saw a mention of William S. Lind in a recent issue of Newsweek. Bill is a highlyrespected aide to Senator Gary Hart. I don't wish to get into politics here, but the thought of Bill Lind working for a Democrat does bring a smile to my face.

Dave Prentice certainly deserves congratulations on the fine job he did organizing our mutterings and musings in the last three newsletters. I expect they will draw considerable comment from many of us and I especially hope that he will hear from those Who did not return the questionnaire.

Two quick reminders: The Alumni Fund drive is fast drawing to a close. To those who have already given, thanks. To those who have not, think! Also, the Dartmouth Night Weekend football game this year is against Harvard on October 20. Plan to be there! A good time will be had by all! This will also give me an opportunity to get some information for this column. Take care and write.
