The season's first presidential dinner, sponsored by the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Rhode Island, will be held on November 9, the night before the Brown/ Dartmouth Game, at the Marriott Hotel in Providence. Some 10,000 people watched the bonfire on the Green last year the night before the Dartmouth/Cornell Game. This year Dartmouth Night Weekend will be celebrated October 19-21. The torchlight parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. on October 19, followed by ceremonies on the steps of Dartmouth Hall and the bonfire. On October 20, in addition to attending the Dartmouth/Harvard game, alumni and their guests may breakfast with President McLaughlin at 7:45 a.m. in Alumni Hall and may attend a reception and luncheon in Leverone Field House at 11:45 a.m. Reservations are necessary for the breakfast and the luncheon.
