Well, folks, it is that time of year again. The Alumni Fund calls both figuratively and literally. I will probably be doing some of that calling (which I dislike), and so you can do me a favor by giving now. In the past, our class has done well in dollar amount but has been a little low in participation. The aim this year is 70 percent.

Tom Kenney is rather handily moving up the corporate ladder at CBS Magazines. Tom was recently named executive vice president, following an 18-month stint as publisher of Woman's Day. During his tenure there, the magazine showed record profits, making Tom a logical choice to move up to the expanded responsibilities of his new position.

It has been another slim news month, but I am ever hopeful that the future will improve. This month, I am adding the name of Howie Wildman to the list of those who have never written.
