It is hard to keep a column going when not much news is sent to me, but I will keep trying. I have three pictures and a nice article on Gajl Gardner that I would like to send out this summer. But, I would like to have another half dozen, at least, in order to make it a really good mailing. Let's hear from ALL of you. A letter from Carlton K. Brownell Jr., son of the late Carlton K. Brownell, informs us that Ruth K. Brownell passed away in March at age 86. He also informs us that his father's Indianhead cane has been passed on to his grandson, Carlton K. Brownell III, who is a junior at St. Lawrence University.

I hope Abe Newmark has a good crop of blueberries and raspberries this year and can keep ahead of the birds.

At this writing - middle of April - spring has sprung in the North Country, and it is nice to see the warm weather returning once again. May you all have a,nice summer, and do drop me a note. Thanks.
