Here you are now in the middle of October as you read these notes. The football season is half over. The maple trees are all adorned with their muted reds and soft yellows, and the weather is gradually getting colder with possible early snow. We all remember the long cold winters on the plains of Hanover on the banks of the Connecticut River. Now we have seen many winters (at least a great many of us) and those who are nearby in the east and a few of us who live in the far west might be thinking of one more CLASS REUNION, in 1988. We can do it again. Those of you who returned for the 60th might like to repeat the good fellowship which that reunion We are going ahead and making plans for a very informal and relatively short good time.

These books have been added to the College library in memory of men of the class of 1923: Tintoretto by F. Valcanover, Ricardo Bofill by C. Nordberg-Schultz, Yellowstone by R. Bartlett, Francisco de Goyaand Lucientees Goya by Gudiol, HonoreDaumier by R. Rey, and In River Time by Woodleif.

George McKee says he is farily active and holds several honorary offices. He has had two bouts of pneumonia and surgery for a broken hip and then surgery for a hernia. That sort of ties up his game of golf. Arthur Gordon is working on another book of Latin inscriptions. PeteJones is doing very well at Falmouth. The Gosses report that they are also doing well. Carl Gray reports that his new book is doing very well. Mike May has joined the New Hippy Sports Association, having had a replacement of his hip in Bosons He, too, is doing well. Dud Pope has spent the summer again in Hanover and thoroughly enjoys Ort Hick's Kaffe Klatch. Two more widows of '23 have applied for membership at North Hill. At present 1923 is represented by NatalieMcMillan, and Bee and Herb Home. There are some 30 other Dartmouth graduates, wives, and widows in residence at present.

And now while you are thinking about it, sit down and send me your intentions of attending a 65 th.
