Greetings. As the leaves turn and stomachs churn, your faithful scribe once again dips into his trusty mailbag and comes up with . . . mail! So what if it's addressed to "Occupant?" Beggars can't be choosers, as I have been told many times at the beach.

Topping this month's tattlings is a tidbit about a tremendous twosome, namely Peter and Timothy, born June 9 to AnneWhite Katlic and husband Kerry in Rochester, N.Y. Based on my experience of approximately 18 months with one R.O. Doyle (Rod to his friends), you are in serious trouble, Anne. Even if Kerry is a pediatrician, your combined skills may not be sufficient to cope with four little hands probing the china cupboard or playing "bowling for dollars" in the liquor cabinet. On balance, however, if you ever have time to reflect, I am sure you won't want to change a thing. Congratulations.

Anne also reported on other recent additions to our future applicant pool. Ripand Noreen Quinn Fisher had their second daughter, Jennifer, in July. Also, in August, Neil Lennon and his wife, Mary Ellen Lennon-Tarzy '78 ,are the proud parents of Alex James, born in August. Congratulations to all and good luck.

From the world of high finance comes word that one Peter Dawkins has been promoted to vice president of investment banking for Merrill Lynch in Toronto. Many happy returns.

Finally, I am sincerely sorry to report on the recent death of one of our classmates, Mark Landsberger. Mark, or "The Grabber" as he was known to his friends, was a unique individual who often could be seen riding his unicycle up and down Webster Avenue or critiquing the latest episode of "All My Children" in the Sigma Nu tube room. An obituary will appear in a future issue. In the meantime, I would like Mark's friends to send me suggestions for a possible donation to the College or a campus organization in his name.

Take care until next time and enjoy it while you can.
