The comfortable craggy slope You go up through knotted roots There is a long spell of walking With little or no talking.

It is a long climb you are making, A severe journey you are taking, Under a canopy of twisted trees Through which you can see the summer sea

The sea is there in the distance, You are aware of its existence As you climb to the goal on the hill, Something you can do if you will.

It has been done many times before, Constricted road to an open door. You brought what you had in your heart Long before the arduous start.

Some came heavily, some came lightly, Some have insight, some have no sight, Some have nothing left to tell After they have heard the warning bell.

A descent down the moss and rock face Was necessary from that high place Down into doubt, uncertainties In a world of depths of mysteries.
