Anybody else get hit hard by daylight savings time this year? Of course, this subject will be yesterday's news, but right now I'm really having trouble adjusting. Do you suppose that they have this in the rest of the world? Hawaii, for example? Let's ask our resident Hawaiian, SeanMcLaughlin. (You're right, I will do anything for a segue.) Sean has been burning up the video waves for programs that he has directed. He won an ACE award for a documentary on family violence, a Broadcast Media Award for a documentary on teen pregnancy, and a Hometown U.S.A. award for an educational piece on the juvenile justice system. Sean's efforts did not go unnoticed at the University of Hawaii where in his free moments he teaches a course titled "The Politics of Media." (Perhaps Sean could give a guest lecture at Dartmouth.)

I doubt that Marina Finch has been overly worked up about the events in Hanover since, according to her mom, Marina is far, far away in the Central Pacific serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Kiribati (formerly known as the Gilbert Islands). Marina teaches English and social studies.

There are others of the teaching profession amongst our numbers. John Skelton teaches social sciences at the high school level in Conway, N.H., while coaching the soccer team. Mike Narkewicz, who wrote about John (or "Turnstiles" as his friends once knew him), claimed that John was also happily married. I await corroboration. Mike spoke of still being in Denver, about to embark on a three-year fellowship in "Peds GI," as he put it. Hmm, he never seemed like that type of guy.

I've got someone else here signing up for three years. Sound like the army. TomSullebarger will be starting on a fellowship in cardiology at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, and his wife, Lorrie Miller Sullebarger, will continue to head the Christian Education program at their local church. Like most people who stay in one place too long, the Sullebargers bought a house with a large appetite.

Ahh, I love a letter that starts with a confession. Bob Lucky "confessed" to having married Lisa Black in L.A. That's all? I was ready for some big-time crimes, although it is true that affairs of the heart were enough to condemn back at old Big Green. Bob and Lisa live in Seattle where he is doing graduate work in Indian cinema. Lee Jones attended the couple's wedding and after a careful supply/demand analysis has decided to make L.A. his home. Lee was apparently quite confident that there would be plenty of material for psychiatry practice upon completion of his residency.

Seems all of the doctors are coming out of the woodwork, which is good timing since all of the lawyers in our class have been dreaming of setting up their own practice with a big case. I'm not kidding.

Charles Thomas spoke of only one regret in life. He is happily married to Muriel; he is successfully completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. The problem is that both Charles and Muriel are Chicagoans and weren't there last January for the Bears. Charles, I would say confidently that you've got the next five years to get up there.

Bob and Susan Curry were doing more than fishing for salmon up in Nova Scotia and finally "confessed" to being the proud parents of Erin Curry. The bucolic life in Nova Scotia will soon be shattered by the bucolic life in Ann Arbor where Bob will finish his Ph.D. at Michigan's department of ecology and evolutionary biology. Bob also sent news that ScottStoleson (who, you haven't forgotten, provided me with some unforgettable news) will be in the Rockies this summer. Glad to see that you're still out there looking, Scott. w A mP

Annemarie Haag acquired her MRS. and M.B.A. all in one ceremony when she married Jim Fayal (Harvard Business) last January in Stonington, Conn. The two live on the town green in Ipswich, Mass., and commute to the town with the beans. (Annemarie, did I say that right?) Annemarie is exploiting her knowledge of the acquisitions field and works for a firm that buys real estate for pension funds. She says that the world is looking good.

M. L. Heslin, Trishia Singer '78, Steve Sargent '75, and Sandy Stewart (Tuck) attended the frosty January celebration.

Anna "Bannana" Burack Wilson and Barbara Wiese McKinney got together some months back and both professed to disbelief that they were the same people who were freshmen roommates 11 and a half years ago. Their current concerns were a long way from the phobia that caused them to rearrange their dorm furniture the night before the big math final. And so with that said, they send a fond "hello" to their Woodward pals. Last chance to put Ted Winterer's soul at ease. Send it in. And you know what I mean.
