Well, time to put the creative brain cells into overdrive, grab an ice-cold Bud, and tie together some more thrilling news for As The '82s Turn. (Or was that All My '82s? One Life to '82?)

When last we left our hero, Tom Shanahan, he was just returning from a highly debilitating 5th reunion weekend. Unable to handle the throes of a yuppie lifestyle, Tom took on the challenge of an early retirement.

After spending two weeks at Cape Cod finding himself—and a solid tan—Tom headed to the Catskills for a visit with SteveGleason. Fud has been trading bonds for Smith Barney in Japan but was back from Tokyo for a wedding which featured an appearance of Lee Apgar and Sharon Flynn. Together? One can only ponder the possibilities.

Meanwhile, back in Maternity Ward, Paul and Maura Keefe had their first in January and rumor has it that Megan Elizabeth has already high jumped more than three inches. Meanwhile, Ed and Ellen Frechette claim their daughter Maggie is actually crawling. I'm sure she learned that behavior from her dear old dad. Tony Arch and his wife Mary have done these couples one better as they are the proud parents of two little ones, the youngest being a sevenmonth-old boy. Tony is selling insurance throughout California.

Speaking of the Other Coast, there is no truth to the rumor that Jamie Knorring has become a proud papa. It seems he and Kathy have moved to the suburbs and purchased a standard poodle. Any resemblance to the dog's master is purely coincidental.

Eric and Sue (Elliott) Christensen have raised anchor and moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles where Bodo is putting his Stanford Business School degree to good use at Disneyland. Sue is looking to join "L.A. Law" but may be seen moonlighting as Snow White to her husband's Prince Charming.

Also preparing to leave San Francisco and do the wedding thing is none other than the permanent Californian, Greg Jones. Mundo and Mandy will be married in her home country of New Zealand in December and would like to invite everyone to come on down.

Checking in on mid-America, it seems that Bill White has found the perfect job to fit his lifestyle. In his position at Manufacturers Hanover, Whizzer gets a vacation every two weeks and has no trouble getting his sleep. His hours are ten to four.

A few final notes regarding reunion. Reunion co-chair Rob Olsson called to tell me that the '82s set a pair of records for sth reunion class with 474 people in attendance, 371 of whom were alumni. Let's see the '83s top that. Rob called from Hawaii where he and the rest of the reunion committee were recovering from the weekend. Rob also asked me to remind those who haven't yet paid for their attendance that this was not a free ride.

That's it for now gang. Next time we'll try to get the details on John Hastings's Texas wedding and the results of our poll asking you for the '82 most likely to be the next Oliver North. Until then, take it easy and I hope to see you at the tailgate Harvard weekend.
