Now that either the Big Green or the Big East has won the NCAA basketball championship, we can get down to some serious springtime activities. Picture yourself escaping the darkened slush which is threatening to engulf your city and jetting off to sunny Florida, where it's 80° in the pool and the beach is attaching itself to your back porch. Sound inviting? Well, that's where I am for a week, so eat your heart out.

Let's get right to it. Reliable sources have it that Kathie Delisle has recently finished a training program and is now working for Citicorp following a five-year stint with Coopers & Lybrand. My little bird also says that Toni Cook Monsey is living and doing biological research in Burlington, Vt. Jill Rizika hit the states for the holidays before returning to Dakar, Senegal, and her internship at the Woodrow Wilson School. She will finish out the year at the school doing development work for Catholic Relief Services.

Give me ten minutes and I'll give you the world. Deborah Rollins brings greetings from Somerton, Somerset City, England, where she is living for three months. "It is cold and damp here, but the pubs have a lot to offer, and the scenery is pleasant." Deborah will be hitting the books again when she returns. "Grad School. It's never too late!" The opinions voiced in this col- umn are not necessarily the opinions of the column's author.

This touching note from Venice, Calif. Happy Holidays from Brad Weirick. Very chatty fellow that Spodee.

Old News Dept.: I have no clue as to when the following events occurred. Some would say I have no clue, period. Jay Geller is currently in Chicago in the law offices of Jenner and Block. The assumption on this end is that Jay is working in those offices and not seeking legal counsel. KevinThome is "married to the gorgeous Darlene Hopkins Thorne" and working as a computer consultant in Boston. His company, Computer Partners, was hiring like crazy and maybe they still are, so give him a call at 617/628-2492. Kevin wanted to hear from Joe Fernandez and Mike Littlejohn.

The class has received a note from Earl Jette, executive director of the Outing Club, thanking us for our $7OO donation to the freshman trips program. The money was raised at the silent auction at reunion and made it possible for about seven 'shmen to participate. This information comes from the former Mary Thomson, who "bit the bullet" in September and married Peter Renner '78. What better way to kick off the "Wedding Bell Blues" section of our program. While space limits my printing the entire guest list at the Thomson-Renner shindig, I will mention that Jenny ChandlerHauge was maid of honor and CrashyZacher, Gray Reisfield Horan, and AmyWarner served as bridesmaids.

Elsewhere on the nuptial circuit, AliciaBixby and Keith Hampton "tied the proverbial knot" in October in Washington, D.C. Party members included Ann Sweeney Geissinger, Becky Wolcott, best man Chuck Cairns, John "Goat" Gaudioso, and Jay Miller. Sherri Carroll and Curt Oberg '78 were married in November with CorrineHeyes, Brook Tolley, Kathy Briscoe, and Sheila Kaye Cooper getting to wear the fancy clothes. Why are all the '78s marrying the '82s? Wrapping up this marriage madness, Dr. David Cummings and Dr. Felicia Park were wed in January in Cambridge, Mass. Talk about instant housecalls. The two will be continuing their residency in Seattle.

Well, beer, burgers, and beach are calling. I gotta go.
