The secretary regrets to announce that his beloved wife, Beatrice, died on December 14, 1986. She had been ill for several months but the end was unexpected. She was a wonderful companion for 60 years of marriage. She also was a loyal worker in behalf of Dartmouth.

Marj Huntington has a new address. It is Osborn Memorial Home in Rye, N.Y. Paula Stone died in January and was another good Dartmouth wife. Sam Groves writes of Don Lovejoy, "He attends all the parties. His energy is amazing."

Oiir president, Nick Sandoe, was honored at the meeting of the Alumni Council in December 1986. The occasion was the celebration of the 35th year of the Dartmouth Bequest Program, which has recently gone over the $l5O-million mark. Nick was given due credit as the principal player in the inception of this program.
