Approximately 24 people attended the fall reunion. The weather was beautiful. Allan Dingwall addressed the Friday night dinner. Kitty Larmon had, as always, a wonderful cocktail party. Those present, according to my notes, were the Demonds, Greeleys, Hindses, Max Huntoons, McCrillises, Martins, Robinsons, Sandoes, Averys, Max Nortons, and Kitty Larmon, Marj Huntington, John Williams, Slim Huntoon, and Nock Wallis.
At the class meeting, John McCrillis reported on life income trust giving. Nock Wallis spoke about the Alumni fund and the fact we will have a higher quota next year because we will be a reunion class. John Williams gave the details of the plans for the 60th reunion. We are going to make a strong effort to get our widows back. Doris Ross called me yesterday from Portland, Ore., and said she was planning to come.
San Treat has to cancel out at the fall party because of the illness of his daughter-in-law. He is back in Florida. Ray Hinds hopes to spend some time in Bermuda this winter. JockMurray continues to make slow improvement. He says he will go south if it gets too cold up north. Jim Bradley plays golf almost every day. He, does not use a cart. Bri Greeley expects to go to St. Petersburg at the end of the winter season. Slim Huntoon is doing some volunteer work at Colby Sawyer College in New London.
Jane Larmon, who ably assisted Kitty at the cocktail party, has taken up the study of the clarinet. She goes down cellar to practice and takes her dog with her. If she isn't doing very well the dog leaves and goes to the attic. The Russells went west this fall and stopped at Vail, Colo., and Scottsdale, Ariz., en route to San Francisco. There they took the Royal Viking Sky back to Florida via the Panama Canal.
Madge and Bunny Collins have sold their house in Florida and will make their permanent home in Winchester, Mass.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
