Rick Pabst writes from his horse farm in Buckley, Wash., that son Fritzel (three) is now talking but can't compete with Miranda's (seven) motormouth. On the equine front, Rick kept and raced one of his goodlooking fillies. After five races at Longiteres out of the money, she went lame. "Couldn't outrun a fatman," he notes. With horse breeding in a recent market slump, Rick is now wondering if the focus of the government herd buy-out program might be shifted.

Another West Coast classmate, Larry Eisenhauer, writes from Rancho Sante Fe, Calif., that he is in the ninth year of a La Jolla Ob-Gyn practice. Wife Toni (Holyoke '68) and children Eric, Lars, and Eve enjoy bicycling, swimming, surfing, and tending two and a half acres of garden in the balmy southern California climate. Larry tends 200 rose bushes which bloom year-round. Shakespeare at the Old Globe in San Diego provides cultural stimulation.

Advertising Age, November 1986, featured Tom Laughlin in the "Names in the News" section for his recent appointment as VPgeneral manager for Upjohn's consumer products division. Tom to Kalamazoo from Wilton, Conn., where he was VP and marketing director for RichardsonVicks. His success in promoting the Oil of Olay line at Richards-Vicks drew much attention and convinced Upjohn that they had the right man to spur sales of their overthe-counter products.

Tom writes that he's renewed his friendship with Mike and Joannie O'Conner since moving to Kalamazoo. Mike is an attorney working at Fox, Thompson, Morris Stover, and O'Conner.

At the February 21 executive committee meeting, Dave Peck was elected reunion chairman for the 20th. If anyone would like to volunteer some time and energy, contact Dave in Boston or drop me a line. We are also planning a mini-reunion for the Holy Cross weekend, October 10, so mark your calendars!
