Dick jaeger addressed the Dartmouth Club of Washington at a luncheon on the subject of Dartmouth admissions. His highly entertaining and informative presentation, earmarked by the same intense enthusiasm he displayed as an undergraduate, was extremely well received. While "on the subject of undergraduates, Goody Gilman advises that son Matthew is a '92, following in the footsteps of sister Gayle '85 and brother Andrew '87. Goody expresses relief that Matthew is the "last of the Mohicans." Meanwhile, Dave Porter attended the graduation of son Mike '88, before returning to Colorado for his own 25th anniversary with Hughes Aircraft Co., as well as the arrival of his first grandchild. Dave, too, expresses relief at the thought that the youngest of his four children should finish at the University of Colorado in '91. Bob DiMauro mentions that son Chris '89 was back on the Dartmouth campus last spring after having spent his LSA term in Sienna, Italy, in the fall, and taking a winter vacation working and skiing in Steamboat Springs, Colo. And Myron Lewis mentions that his oldest daughter Robin's having entered the University of Massachusetts this fall provides him with an excuse to make the trek from Memphis to Hanover.

Australian resident Dave Marr says he enjoyed reading the January/February class newsletter reprint of President Freedman's editorial "The Way with Words," and offers his opinion that if that fairly represents James Freedman's approach, he's on the right track."

Wells "Banger" Langbehn recently hosted his old roomie Dave Britton. He mentions that Dave was at the time the current national windsurfing champion among 50-year-olds, and that he is also competing successfully in his age group in the slalom and the downhill.

Four business executives (all president and chief executive officers of their firms) and a district court judge recently got together in Seattle to celebrate the birthday of one of their group. The execs were Bob"Lefty" Cline (Airborne Freight in Seattle), Bob Helsell (Sprague Resource Corp.), Bob King (Rainier Ice and Cold Storage), and Tim Rich (Maryatt Industries). The judge was Pete Jarvis. The birthday boy was Bob King.

Vic King took an Outward Bound sailing course with ten other shipmates, all over 40, to Hurricane Island, Maine. This group inhabited what Vic describes as an open 30' pulling boat for 11 days. Describing the water as cold, the 5:30 a.m. runs and dips as invigorating, and the food as excellent, Vic highly recommends such an experience to classmates, though he found that his "return to a desk .was not easy."
