Welcome back to the pages of the Alumni Magazine and a reshuffled staff. Doug Greenwood has retired as editor to do some personal writing. Dana Grossman has left her post as associate editor to become editor of the Dartmouth MedicalNews, and Teri Allbright has become acting associate editor for the Dartmouth

Alumni Magazine. We the class editors will be on our toes to give them all the help we can. They have done a great job in their previous positions, and this will be a great challenge for them to do better.

We as a class have now become a senior class (?), and so your class notes must in the future be reduced from 600 words to 400. Even that will be difficult to fill unless some of you senior citizens drop us some information once in a while before the editor of "Skiddoo" gets hold of it and puts it in the green sheet.

Dud Pope is returning to Hanover for the summer and will welcome a call from any of the class who might drop by.

Olive Caswell and Flo Miner are both interested in coming to North Hill, a living care sort of hotel in Needham, Mass.

Thanks to Peyt Hawes, the '23 gift to the Alumni Fund is $20,000 over the top. Thanks also to the rest of you out there who have generously given your shares.

The class secretaries had a meeting in May which was very successful. One of the thoughts arising out of it was a questionnaire asking about all the class which should provide enough material to fill this column for at least two years. More about that later, and be prepared to answer as soon as I can get the questions together.

The average grade point average for all students for the winter term was 3.198 out of a possible 4.00. The sorority and fraternity averages were the same as the overall average. The men's rugby team extended its unbeaten record by conquering Army at the Northeast Championships for the second straight year. They then beat the Air Force Academy but lost to the reigning champs, University of California-Berkley.. I do not remember that we had a rugby team back when we were students.

Leon and Mary Sargent's granddaughter is doing well in Dartmouth Medical School.

That's all I am allowed, but Harvard and Cornell each play in Hanover this year. The Harvard weekend will be very crowded, and the Cornell weekend might be a better time for those of us nearby and any others of the old raccoon days to get together. See you in Hanover.
