Again this copy comes to you all from Pompano Beach in Florida, and I have had to scrounge for bits of news. First comes the inevitable sad news. After three months of no obituaries, now in January I have written five and I am searching for information on one more, Phil Swartz.

Our living classmates are all listed with addresses except two whose mail is returned. Does anyone know the whereabouts of Milton Blauner and John H.Jennings? If you do please let me know.

Chet Bixby writes that he and Barbara are at Gasparilla Inn at Boca Grand and are expecting Glen Elliot's family a bit later. Miriam Home (Sam) is here in Florida for the winter.

Elliott Hersey, son-in-law of HowardBartlett, retired chief of one of the departments at M.I.T., just celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary. Howie and Helen are reported to be in reasonably good health and are awaiting the arrival of their second great-grandchild. A granddaughter, Samantha Hersey, (Wheaton 1988), was a member of a team which won the state championship in field hockey.

Another long lost classmate, Dr. JoePollard probably will have recovered from a cataract operation. He writes that he has spent 49 summers in Weld, Maine. He is also disturbed by the turmoil of moving the Hitchcock Hospital and Medical School out of Hanover.

And now another reminder - don't forget our 65th in June 1988. Charlie Zimmerman is assembling a great program.

In the meanwhile, how many of us are in retirement homes? And how do you like it? Drop me a note.
