The class of 1927 has lost a devoted friend and servant in the death of Robert W. Williamson on March 25. He had been our head agent for seven years before failing health required him to turn over the reins to Seth Besse in 1984. On April 4 EugeneSullivan died after a long illness.
Moving recently was Orem Herwitz. He went from Clearwater, Fla., to 280-126 Avenue East, Treasure Island, FL 33706. The Herwitzs love their new place and expected to stay there until late May when they will return to New York City for the summer.
We can always count on Jay Willing for a speedy acknowledgment of his class birthday card. He appears to be in pretty fair shape after having spent the better part of last November in the hospital with heart problems under the careful eye of his son in law doctor.
C.O.W.: April 29-30 was Class Officers Weekend, and approximately 500 gathered to find out what was going on in Hanover. The class of 1927 was represented by Rogand Lolly Bury, Frank and Evelyn Strong,Charlie and Ruth Paddock, Seth Besse,Brad Fuller, and Bob Tobey.
There was a stirring concert by the Dartmouth Wind Symphony as well as renditions by two student chorister groups. Your secretary was particularly pleased that he had talked with two undergraduates, one male and one female, who were positive that only a small minority of the undergrads has any sympathy with conservative positions advocated by The Dartmouth Review.
