Yet another new Floridian is Tom Montgomery, having moved with wife Pat to Naples, Fla., in mid-June after 41 years in the brewing industry, the last 25 with"The King of Beers." Their new address is 211 Bay Point Drive ZIP 33940, and Tom is hoping to meet some '46s in the area. Sounds like a great opportunity for a cold one, guys.
Art Young has been made one of four senior vice presidents by Massachusetts Financial Services Cos. after serving that firm since 1982 as vice president and national training director. Art's son Ted has completed his junior year at Dartmouth, and other son Jim is now looking at colleges, including the Green.
Don Furber was a late spring visitor in Hanover and reports he has taken up scuba diving. Apparently nothing is too challenging for this 64-year-old ex-marine. Speaking of former men of the Corps, Clark and JuneJudge and Jud and Grace Hannigan were in Hanover in May, the latter visiting their Dartmouth senior son, Dan.
Dune Fitchet had a recent visit in Wolfeboro, N.H., with Charlie French, reporting him very busy with his garage and auto dealership. Charlie finds time, however, for considerable skiing and is planning a char fishing trip to Labrador in September.
A classmate who is not retiring at 65 is John Banner, still very busy in Connecticut as sales manager of the Kirk-Stieff Co., America's oldest silversmith. John and Nancy enjoy being with their four grandchildren as much as possible, spending the remainder of their free time sailing.
Charlie Duncan has resigned as a director of Procter & Gamble, citing a potential conflict of interest as a result of serving on the board of Eastman Kodak, owner of Sterling Drug, Inc., a P & G competitor. Charlie is a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Reid & Priest.
Sorry to report the passing of James C.Peters, who died March 21 in Dayton, Ohio. Jim served in the navy in WW II and retired in 1985 after 39 years with the National Cash Register Co. Our sympathies are extended to Jim's wife, Wanda, and to the other surviving members of his family.
