A most successful mini-reunion was held over the Holy Cross game weekend, despite the one-sided Big Green loss and another early season snowstorm for those who headed home on Sunday. Among those '46s in attendance for the game, the class meeting, or one or more of the social activities were our president, Tom (Gus) Gillaugh, vice president Dune Fitchet and wife Ruth,Bob and Jackie Kimball, Jack Whitman,Bob and Sally Bogart, Dick and BeverlyScharrer, Dave and Barbara Stephenson,Jack and Anona Sayers, Dan and KatherineFuller, Tom and Mary Cohn, Frank and PatEttari, Jim and Romayne Barnet, John andEdith McClintock, Jack Ulrich, Whitey andJoanne Burnham, Bob Bensing, Jim andEugenia Von Rohr, Marty Marino, Jim Lucey, Al Holmes, Jim and Ari Lynch, and yours truly and wife Mary. Also, it was again a pleasure to have Rosie Marlette with us, accompanied by two daughters, and Andy Carstensen '45 and his wife, Betsy.

The feature of the Friday evening dinner in the Drake Room at the Hopkins Center was a brief talk by new head football coach, Buddy Teevens '79. Both he and his attractive wife, Kristen, were extremely well received and represent the new and enthusiastic approach to Dartmouth football that we all hope will help us be truly competitive again with our future Ivy and Colonial League opponents. At the dinner, president Tom (Gus) made special note of the fact that Dr. Dave Stephenson and family from Denver, Colo., had come the greatest distance to participate in this year's mini-reunion.

At the excellent Saturday morning class meeting at Bob and Jackie Kimball's, president Gillaugh announced that Welles Fendrich had agreed to accept the most important position of head class agent, succeeding Dave Weld. All of us should be tremendously grateful to Dave for his many years of excellent leadership in this key and difficult role for our class and College, and should pledge our strong support to Welles as he begins work with his team of assistant agents. Also of note at the meeting was Jack Whitman's agreement to assist Frank Ettari as co-chairman of our bequest program; the designation of the Harvard game and Dartmouth Night weekend, October 14 and 15, 1988, for next year's mini-reunion; the donation of $6,500 in class funds to continue our support of the Baker Library rare book resotration program; and a contribution of $1,000 to assist the athlete sponsor program of the athletic department.

Following the usual pre-game gathering at the tent behind the Kimball's and the game itself, many classmates, spouses, and friends enjoyed cocktails and dinner at Regand Nancy Pierce's to conclude another very successful class gathering.

With Dartmouth Night and Harvard next fall, mark those calendars now!
