In May of this year a special ceremony was held on the summit of Mount Holyoke, Mass., honoring co-pilot John D. Logan and nine other crew members of a B-24 Liberator bomber who perished when their plane crashed while on a midnight training night on Memorial Day weekend in 1944, just ten days before the D-Day invasion. Through the efforts of the man who found the crash site when he was a 14-year-old boy, more than 70 relatives of the crew attended the dedication of a hand-carved granite memorial which reads in part: This monument is in memory of all who lost their lives flying from Westover Air Force base. Present were John's two brothers, Joseph '42 and Frank '52. Frank is director of the planned giving program at the College.

Brad Morehouse reports the arrival of a new grandchild, Scott Bradley Hall, some 16 years after the previous one! Other than occasionally working hard, Brad appears to devote most of his time to fishing and traveling. Last spring he and Marian visited Vienna and Budapest; August saw a family fishing trip to the College Grant in northern New Hampshire; September included fishing in Maine with Marian; and this month they'll be in France, as Brad says, rusticating in an old mill with a 1943-44 foxhole buddy and his wife.

Nice note from Milt Formson indicating that life in Shaker Heights, Ohio, at age 65 is on a par with idyllic college days. Gimp's six children, five grandchildren, and wife, Sue, are healthy and happy, and he still enjoys selling insurance and developing real estate. Vigorous workouts, golf, and interesting vacations—such as a recent visit to Tbilisi, Georgia, in the USSR occupy much of Gimper's spare time.

A mini-reunion of sorts occurred at the wedding of Rex Sleighter's daughter in Old Lyme, Conn. Jim Barnet states that this happy occasion brought together himself, Rex, and Earle Angstadt, all roommates in 101 Crosby Hail. Rex lives in Nashville, Tenn., and Earl in Darien, Conn.

Yet another '46-related Young will be entering Dartmouth when Art Young's son, Jimmy, becomes a member of the class of '93 this fall. His brother, Teddy '89, has joined Merrill Lynch in the investment banking department. Needless to say Art and Janie are looking forward to four more years of special reasons to visit Hanover!

In September '88, after 40 years as a teacher and school principal in Boston, PaulDonovan retired. Three days later he joined Boston College as a clinical professor supervising seniors and graduate students in their practicums on a three-day-a-week schedule, thus allowing more time for gardening and sailing. Paul's son, Paul III, is press secretary to Senator Ted Kennedy, while daughter Ann 'BO is a Boston attorney with the firm of Burns & Levinson.

Regretfully, I must report the passing of classmates George Timmins Rein last March, Paul Prescott Bristol in January, and Clifford Bell Lull Jr. in 1986. Sincere condolences go to their surviving family members.
