In the February 1987 Magazine we learned that Howie Kolb of Chicago had a stroke paralyzing his right arm and leg, but at the time he was able to write with his left hand. Just recently his wife, Julie, had a spinal operation and is now recuperating. In spite of these problems the Kolbs, married 58 years, are thinking positively, and certainly 1926 wishes them well.

The class is more than pleased to record in the Magazine its delight that two classmates were honored for their 1988 Alumni Fund work: The Andrew J. Scarlett Award for "Outstanding Head Agent More Than 60 Years Out" went to George W. Scott, and The Laurence G. Leavitt Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Memorial Gifts" went to Clark Weymouth aided and abetted by Barbara Weymouth!

Hank Parker spent his 85 th birthday in California when he and Jane visited their daughter Connie and family, which involved a family mixed-doubles round-robin and a prize lemon meringue pie. Even the Harvard-Dartmouth game on television was included in their celebration.

A skeleton group of out-of-town 1926ers Doug Everett and Ruth Zellers, Concord, N.H., and Charlie and HelenClare Macdonald and Don and Lou Norstrand from Massachusetts witnessed the live-action Harvard-Dartmouth game in all its Hanover glory. Our local classmates Dick Eberhart, Ed Emerson, and LesTalbot have special reserved seats and hence do not sit in the class section. Dick spent the morning at the Dartmouth Book Store autographing his new book "Maine Poems" and was excused in time to see the game. Ed had just returned from his twomonth trip around the world, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Tubba and BarbaraWeymouth watched the game on television, but provided the Bay State delegation with space at Willow Spring Circle for indoors tailgating with transportation to and from Alumni Field!
