The Yankee Moseyer investigates the question: can real people live around Hanover?
This is Jim Collins '84, commuting to work. The log cabin in the background is his home in the middle of Lake Skatutakee, near Dublin, New Hampshire. Collins bought the island for a song and built the cabin himself. He's also the editor of a Yankee Magazine spinoff called Yankee Homes.
We couldn't think of a better person to turn to after people read our September feature, "How to Come Back." "Come on," readers told us. "Nobody really finds a decent place near campus anymore, do they?" We asked the same question to Jim Collins, who in turn asked the Moseyer, a mysteriously omnipresent character, to do a search.
Who is this Moseyer? Neither Collins nor Yankee Editor Jud Hale '55 is talking. Being good Yankees, we aren't talking either. —Ed.
