William D. Norcross '54 has informed us of the death of his mother, Rachel Reed Norcross, on May 5 at the age of 89. She was the wife of our Tom Norcross, who died in 1979. Rachel and Tom always added to the joys of our class reunions.

Since Joe Folger died in 1981 Marion has continued to live at 5 Station Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Her older son, Edward Allen Folger '51, died June 8 in the Veterans Hospital at Brockton, Mass., after a long illness. We offer our sincere sympathy to Marion.

Lucy Briggs wrote to me on June 6, "My son, Everett E. Briggs '54, is being transferred from Honduras, where he has been ambassador, to Washington to the National Security Council, Latin American Affairs."

We join Lucy in being very proud of Ted and also glad that he is no longer in Central America.
