I've hardly stopped talking about our 60th and now I'm writing for October, with an August 15 deadline and another reunion coming up. Charlie Widmayer and Milt Mclnnes tell me that Burt Crandell has it well in hand. I can only say "of course," after his last great performance. Y'all come, and you hardy ones should join the Bema lunch bunch on Saturday.

My next deadline is September 1 instead of 15 because I'm leaving on the 2nd for Singapore and the same cabin on the Ocean Pearl that I occupied last year, stopping this time in Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, and Bali. Home September 22, I'll take off a week later for the East. The first weekend of October I'll be in Hanover for Dartmouth Horizons, and the second weekend in Woodstock for you-know-what, sand- wiching my annual, but curtailed, sidetrip to Florida in between. Add the reunion in June, and I hope I'm excused for skipping the C.O.W. in April. When I'm older I'm going to write a book entitled "Around the World in Eighty Years."

Two nods to our wandering Fran Horn, one for his election as a Fellow of Queen Mary and Westville College of the University of London; and one for an excellent letter to The Review supporting the College's return to sophomore-year fraternity rush. It might be interesting sometime to compare Fran's total mileage with that of another itinerant, Chuck Jacobs or mine.

An item from Bob Chittim's clipping service says that Nelson Rockefeller Jr. '86 has been talking to the GOP's Anothony Colavita about running for public office.

Tucson's Daily Star said, "While it's true there seem to be more bulls and fewer bears out there, the sentiment picture has not yet become one-sided in favor of the bulls" quoting Gene Jay Seagle. That was in June. How now, Gene?

We also used to see Hughie Johnson quoted frequently. Now it's Hugh Jr. '62 who is quoted quite often, and was chosen by The Wall Street Journal as a contestant for its dartboard stockpicking contest.

Which of our learned classmates didn't graduate from high school until 1989? Stay tuned.
