I can't figure out which one of our presidents has greater troubles, Bush or Freedman. One has to deal with budgets and Baghdad, the other with the Dartmouth Review. I'm sure they would gladly trade places.
A mailbox full of news this month, starting with a note from Jeff Sassorossi: "I couldn't believe your address. Although I don't watch the TV program it certainly caught my eye." Yes, folks, it's true, I do live on Twin Peaks Boulevard, and it's even weirder than the show. Thanks to Jeff for forwarding the following two letters.
Chris Cirgenski writes, "You may have heard already that Mark Myers had a baby girl this summer, Marina Myers. He's doing well and sailing for some big guns now in Annapolis and beyond. Ed White is also doing very well; I saw Ed, Wendy, and Adam for a few days in August. Doctor White invited me to watch him operatewhat gore! My family is doing as well as can be expected here in Hell City (as the papers have lead people to believe)."
Dr. Dan Skorich tells us, "Things are fine here in Indian summer Minnesota. Danielle 10, Stefan 8, and Aubry 13 months, are happy, active kids. Rosey is very busy at home and work is satisfying for me. It's great to be close to family again. I've been working on a backyard playhouse all summer . . . the project has been a lot more than anticipated, but it's nearing completion (hooray!). Spoke with Al Markman recently, but with no other classmates. JeffBarndt is living in Pakistan. Could you send me Peter Wolcott's current address?" An other reported MIA.
Speaking of our most incommunicado alumni, Rick Friedlander responded to our search with the following: "I did read your call for the whereabouts of lost souls a couple of months back and finally found the proverbial 'round tuit' to enable a reply. After scrambling around in R and D for a water purification company, I joined Medtronic, the pacemaker company in Minneapolis. There I was involved in the polymer group, starting in engineering, but moved into marketing when I was identified as the most silver-tongued among our group of slide-rule slinging scientists. Our big move came last year when I decided to make some use of these talents and devote myself to a career in (God forbid) sales, where the money is. Kathy, my wife of 13 years, and our three kids picked up our Minneapolis roots and headed west to Spokane, Wash., where I am the sales rep in the area. Life in the West is great, especially in an area so blessed with resources, like water. Last I heard, California wanted what was left of the Columbia River—sorry, it's not for sale. We spent last winter teaching the kids to ski and updating equipment that had seen better days at the Skiway. The local hills are uncrowded, inexpensive and very family oriented." Rick has issued an invitation for all '75s to visit, "so just do it!"
Will the following MIAs follow Rick's lead and "get a 'round tuit!'":

O thou Summer's harmony, I have liv'd and mourn'd for thee. Each day I mourn along the wood, And night hath heard my sorrows loud.
