If no news is good news then we have lots of good news this month, most of which is thanks to class treasurer Jeff Sassorossi's dutiful forwarding of notes included in dues payments. Jeff Artz writes, "I'm currently going to Whittier Law School (first year) and living on borrowed money (a lot) so it hurts too much to give right now. Someday when I'm in practice I will. Thanks for the Mag, I enjoy hearing from the College." The College enjoys hearing from you, too, Jeff.

Both good news and bad news from David Mann: "Skiing is poor in Cincinnati, but I have it made in the more important things. I have purpose and meaning in life, a wife who loves me, and three happy kids. Great!" The bad news is "I gave this serious thought this year, but I believe there are just plain a lot of other causes out there that need my money worse than you do." A word from the soapbox to Jeff, David, and others who can't afford making a significant annual gift to Dartmouth, or who have chosen other beneficiaries for their largess it's the thought (and participation) that counts and even a small contribution is appreciated and needed!

Gib Palmer sent this to Jeff: "In January we moved from West Hartford to Richmond where I took the responsibility of regional marketing manager for the Travelers Employee Benefits Department. It's a great opportunity and I'm really enjoying it. The family has adjusted well to the new locale. We have two boys in school Christopher in 3rd grade and Stuart in 1st and one at home, Andrew 3. Living in the south is great as long as you remember what a great president Jefferson Davis if!"

David Chirot enclosed these words, 'I'm attending University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, working towards Ph.D. in English. Here on Uihlein Fellowship for Modern Studies Program. I changed my name from Harris to Chirot when I remarried. Now I have a five-year-old son and two-year-old daughter."

Responding to the MIA call, Giff Foley '69 reports on his sister Emily Foley Parry. "Emily is now a mother of four: Thomas, 10; Colie, 7; Will, 5; and Nora, 2. She 'retired' after a successful investment banking career and is now balancing an extraordinary array of entrepreneurial and voluntary activities spanning real estate, health care, advocacy in the school system, etc. Em was a key member of the team supporting Miss America, the Unlimited Air Racer, and she remains an avid competitive swimmer, skier and tennis player. Her husband, Rawdy (Harvard and Wharton, notwithstanding) is a great companion. He is a partner at Tatham, Laird and Kudner, an outstanding Chicago advertising agency."
