My Dartmouth mail lately seems to bring mostly news of promotions and professional achievements. From the canyons of Madison Avenue comes word that Tim Pollack has been named vice chairman and worldwide director of client services at Young and Rubicam Advertising Worldwide. From what I hear from my friends in advertising about the intense competition in their field just now, that is quite an accomplishment.

Up in Westchester County, Fred Price has been named vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at Regeneration Pharmaceuticals, which develops biotechnology compounds to treat nerve disorders. Fred had been at Pfizer Inc. before becoming a consultant to health care companies.

On the non-profit front, Pete Norris has been named Upper School Director of the Breck School in Minneapolis. Pete has most recently been the Academic Dean at the Springside School in Philadelphia after a number of years at the Greenhill School in Dallas all great independent day schools.

Someone who seems to be specializing in community service is Warren Cook. How Warren finds time to run the Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation (where he is the president and chief executive officer) is the question. He has just been elected chairman of the board of trustees of the Franklin Memorial Hospital. This is in addition to his current work as a trustee of the Western Maine Alliance and the Maine Maritime Academy, and as a member of the Maine Governor's Business Advisory Council. Maine is fortunate to have someone with Warren's talents who is so willing to give his time.

It would be very interesting to see a full list of all of the community service commitments of our classmates. Based on those of you whose contributions I know about, I suspect that a very large number of non-profit institutions in this country have had the benefit of a great deal of talent from the class of '67.
