It is mid-September, we have been back in Hanover one week, from Maine, and are thinking November. While at Moosehead Lake we learned of WalterWilson's death, which brought back fond memories of summers past with annual visits from Walter, Marion, and sometimes their family and friends. The Wilsons have a summer place in Skowheagan, Maine.

Some years ago, there were three '29ers with camps evenly spaced the length of Moosehead. Chris and Jane Born in Greenville, Nat andBillie Barrows at Little W, and the Lougees in the middle, at Rockwood. Kineo Hotel was a common meeting ground for some fun times. That fine, old hotel is having a rebirth. Neither the Borns nor the Barrows are at the lake anymore, but we have seen Nat in Vero Beach several times.

There are four '29ers living in our small complex of condominiums, Pinewood Village in West Lebanon, including Katie and DickBlack, who very much enjoyed a short cruise this summer on the Canadian Empress, run by the St. Lawrence Cruise Lines; and RuthBrittan, who recently was a hostess for a Goodbye and Hello" party here in our village. Petie and Frank Foster are still in Maine, where they usually stay until the football team starts home games.

A great honor was recently bestowed on Bill Coles. He and four others are pictured on an issue of commemorative stamps to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Centro Venezolano Americano, CVA. Bill did much to further understanding and friendship between the two countries. He also played the classical guitar.

Fran and Charlie Dudley have made the move to Kendal, and are settling in there. Charlie has had two compression fractures of his back during the summer and has been suffering much pain.

Many of us will have been together at the mini-reunion, and much of this will be old news. However, to quote our class verse(ist): My views are myopic on many a topic—I struggle to put them in words. My literal antics defy all semantics I'm wisest when being absurd. (How did he know?!?)
