The foliage here in the Upper Valley this fall has been quite spectacular, and the "leaf-peepers" have been here aplenty. Busloads of people, with cameras in hand, have added to the traffic pattern in Hanover. This hopefully has been good for the business community, as we are sadly watching the closing of several longtime Main Street stores.

However, the trees are fast being denuded, and it is time for your secretary to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Dud orr has accepted the responsibilities of class treasurer, and from his recent letter we learn the class is in good financial position.

We have learned that Harriet, widow of Earl Fyler, has moved from Vermont and is now happily settled near her daughter Ann, in a retirement community in lowa City, lowa.

Esther and Art Nighswander have by now joined the Dudleys at Kendal, and Virginiaand John Cornehlsen have made application to move there.

Due mainly to the efforts of Dick Black with some help from "mini-agents" the class of '29 continues to be high on the list of donors to the Alumni Fund.

Joe Lovell's sister, Doris Campbell, is bequest chairman for the class of 1921, and has done an outstanding job for Dartmouth's cause. Joe still lives in Stow, Mass., and continues to enjoy playing the organ.

Both Phil Fitzpatrick and Charlie Dudley felt unwell at the mini-reunion, and Phil reports he is having a medical check-up, while Charlie hopes to have his problems cured at the new Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

If you haven't already done so, be sure on your next visit to Hanover to see this fabulous, most up-to-date medical facility. Visit the chapel and stop for at least a cup of coffee in the dining room.

And now for a word by "you know who": As P.C.B.'s don't cause disease And global warmth is cooling, Now alar'd fruit's in good repute; I wonder now who's fooling. When Ph.D.s with high degrees Know more concern than science, While avid Greens deplore machines And fear each home appliance And all that stuff, I rest serene with Dartmouth's green And that's enough.
