Leigh and I returned to Florida on October 1 from our summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee. But then we returned to New Hampshire for the mini-reunion October 26-27. This was possible due to the good planning of our daughter Carolynn who is expecting her second child the Monday following the reunion weekend, and of course Leigh wanted to be in attendance as a helpful grandmother.

Doug and Grade Parsons will miss the reunion as they are off on an extended trip to the far West and Mexico.

Pete and Ann Lord married off the youngest daughter Elizabeth (Libby) on October 20 and now enjoy a family with all five children married.

Caught up with another retiree in my search for news about our classmates. John McIllwraith is keeping busy volunteering, having retired four years ago. His son Alan is a banker in Indianapolis. His daughter Joann is married with two children and living in Cleveland. Johns wife, Alike, likes to visit the grandchildren in Cleveland so maybe one of these years John and Alike will keep coming East and attend a fall reunion.

Bob Williams may have left the boat business for the real estate business but he still has seven small boats in front of his house in Maryland for use by his nine grandchildren. He may have set some kind of record in the class as he is grandpa to two sets of twins. He and his wife, Carla (a Dutch citizen), have visited her relatives in Holland and plan to do so again soon. Bob spends his spare time playing golf in a senior league and caring for a Chesapeake retriever puppy.

Seven years ago Bob Zeiser decided to become an entrepreneur and established convenience stores in Providence and Pawtucket, R.I. Now like many others in the Northeast, Bob is trying to survive the poor economic conditions. He has seven grandchildren. Bob's wife Pat has continued her interest in skating and is teaching ice skating seven days a week. He sees Jack Kilmartin in the summer as they both belong to the same beach club.

Some may have heard about the banks having been closed by the governor in Rhode Island, and unfortunately some of the Zeiser funds have been caught in this event. Bob tells me that, due to knee problems that prevent his walking on anything but a flat surface, he has been unable to attend even a Brown-Dartmouth game. You may see him this year at the Yale bowl, where the ramp may make it possible for him to attend. He does wish to see the ole gang, and we hope one of these days he can.

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.
