Mark Landsburgh continues his work and expertise in graphic arts as a teacher at places like USC and Colorado College. He returned to Hanover on an assignment to help the College in this area and has donated his own hand press to rejuvenate this craft. Prior to the return he was residing in New Mexico where he says he thoroughly enjoys the climate.
Our newsletter editor Skip Ungar plans on winter trips to San Diego and Boca Raton so some of you may hear from him along the way other than by the green postcard.
The Wearers of the Green Dinner in Boston was attended by '49ers Punchy Thomas, Bert Rodman, Jeff Farnum, and Dick Desmond. Seen at the Harvard game but not at the Farnums' cocktails and dinner were Brad Becker, Joe Sullivan, Al Wagner, and Ray Bankert.
After the game the Farnums played host to some of us who had attended the game. This was a delightful experience viewing Boston, the harbor, and Logan Airport from the 23rd floor of the Harbour Towers and the dinner was enjoyed by all who were able to attend: Cathy Erwin, Doris and Punchy Thomas, June and Bud Hughes, Fred Briscoe and friends, Sue and Burt Rodman, Barbara and Jay Rosenfield, Phyllis and Bob Swift, and, of course, Eve and Jeff Farnum as well as Leigh and I.
Being a head class agent in the best of times is tough but in the last few years has become even more of a challenge with many of the alumni expressing concerns about events and change. But in spite of this Burt Proom carried out his assignment well and therefore it was great to learn that he had won a Chairman's Citation for outstanding service to the College.
By way of a letter sending material to me I learned a little about Quent Kopp's world in San Francisco and environs. It seems his neighbor in Sacramento (when his legislative duties require he reside there) is Sally Neidlinger Hudson and he recently had lunch with her sister Susan who was on her way to an international conference of legislatures in Korea.
I have been encouraged of late with some of you sending material to use. If I don't get a chance to thank each of you I do want you to know it is appreciated. For example such an item reached the desk about Einar (Doc) Grell who continues his love for ocean and the knowledge of what's found in it by winning a prize in the Newsday Fishing Contest as he and his wife, Barbara, caught five and six-pound flounders off the Babylon Fishing Station.
