It's Tween time again, a premature winter thaw has hit New England and the ski and skating conditions have left much to be desired in the area. Yesterday the thermometer soared to 58 degrees in the Boston area and depressed all of the ski bunnies in the Northeast.
I certainly hope that Roger Pierce has been helping brother Reggie with the snow making machines at Reggie's recently acquired Ski Lodge and all around resort located at Dogford Road, Etna, N. H. Keep those legs together, Rog!
Doff the caps for Dr. Julie Baum, you guys! Julie is now Doctor Julie Baum, Eye Surgeon. He has recently received a five year grant totalling more than $200,000 from the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for research in the histochemistry of corneal disease in tissue culture.
Doctor Julie, an associate professor in Ophthalmology on the Faculty of Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM), is a staff surgeon in the New England Medical Center Hospital's Department of Ophthalmology, and Director of the Corneal Research Clinic. He and his wife and two children reside at 107 Dartmouth Street, in West Newton, Mass. Good Luck and congratulations Julie!!
Doug Cortlerman isn't wearing a space suit yet, but he is wearing a new title at the Electronic & Space Division of Emerson Electric Company. As vice president of the Division, he has expanded managerial re- sponsibilities which include participation on the board of direc tors and the executive committee, and duties as an advisory member of the Rantec Division's Board of Directors. Doug has also been busy in the interest of the College, serving as assistant Class Agent from 1955 to 1971, and conducting alumni interviewing in 1971.
Reverend Dick Ellis, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Pine Meadow, wife Monica, formerly of London, and their three sons Tim, Kris, and Jerry have moved to New Hartford, Conn. Prior to the recent move, Dick taught at the Tufts School in Watertown. He has served in churches in Worcester and Pittsfield, Mass., and Lakeview, N. Y.

From the Optical center of the nation we hear that Hammerin Hank Williams is Chairman of the Committee on Inter-Governmental Relations and Planning, in goodly barrister has served three terms as County Legislator from the Tenth District. Who knows, Hank could be registering 'n the Granite State one of these days.
Tyler Dann has been named a vice president of Chemical Bank. Dann joined the bank in 1962 and is head of the Leasing and Management Section of the Real Estate Department. Ty is an office. and trustee of the Dartmouth Club Bergen County. He and his lovely Wife Catherine have two sons and a daughter.
ThP old swifty Charlie Curtis was recently elected a second vice president of the Boston Life Underwriters Association. Charlie is manager of Connecticut General's Boston Agency. He is also a past president of the Vermont State Association of Life Underwriters and a past president of the Philadelphia Supervisors Association.
Charlie and his fine wife and four children, Christine, Cynthia Charlie Jr and Scott, live at 8 Jumper Road, Lynnfield, Mass.
Signode Corporation, Chicago, Ill. announced the promotion of Ed Christie to General Manager Field Engineering. Ed has been with Signode for fifteen years as a Field Engineer, salesman and most recently as a District Manager in Southern Oregon.
