If you haven't put all your presents under the tree yet, give yourself a gift of four days in Hanover next June. [Dick Jacob is now in "high gear" planning for our 35th Reunion. So set aside June 15-18, 1992, for four days of learning about developments in the world, the College, and your classmates' lives. See you there!

Our Reunion Giving Campaign is just now getting started. Walt Vail and Don McCree will be spearheading the campaign as co-chairmen. More information will be on the way directly from them as they rally our class to a record-breaking 35th Reunion gift.

John Voll has been nominated to be a director of the New Hampshire Humanities Council. A past-president of the New England Historical Association, John continues as professor of history at the University of New Hampshire. For the past 25 years he has been teaching Middle Eastern, Islamic, and world history. During that time he has lived in Cairo, Beirut Jerusalem, and the Sudan. The second edition of his book, Islam: Continuity andChange in the Modern World, is now in print. Let's hope he will be able to be at our 35th to share his insights into this important part of the world.

Coming back into the New England area is Tryge Myhren. While maintaining his ties with Colorado, he has taken on a major leadership position with the Providence Journal newspaper.

D. Martin Carter and his wife enjoyed commencement in Hanover on a beautiful day last June. The day was particularly special as they watched their daughter Elizabeth graduate with the class of 1991. At the same time they are looking forward to their first grandchild. Martin's comment about all this: "We are blest!"

Also in Hanover for commencement were Dick Portland and Chet McGuire. Lance Portland received his M.B.A. from Tuck while Greg '9l received his B.A. Chet's daughter Gail '9l is the last of three and the only one to pick Dartmouth. Chet writes, "She had a great experience."

Norwich, Vt., has a new landowner from our class. Gersh Abraham reports that he and his wife, Sally, have bought property there with the intention of retiring there one day. In the meantime he continues his work with Acco World Manufacturing and Engineering, makers of all kinds of office supplies.

Happy Holidays!
