One of die joys of being the class secretary at this time is knowing that John Murphy is holding down the job of being our class newsletter editor. At times I think
that he must have missed his vocation, or maybe he was heavily influenced in the 1950s by Life magazine and Look. Even the paper on which it is printed has gone glossy this year.
Noted in recent issues that the list of retirees continues to grow. John McMillan calls it being "pasture-ized." Mo Heifer calls himself a "P/T Farmer and Refinisher." JohnArmstrong just calls it "time" to retire.
I hope that many '58s will be in Hanover for Dartmouth Night and the Harvard game, October 29-30. Joe Jacquet promises to have a full round of activities for us surrounding these two great Dartmouth events. If you are an early bird, join the Executive Committee when Skip Louis gavels the unruly group together Saturday morning. Check with Skip or Sally Prescott Friday night as to the time and place. Hope to see you there.
The Will to Excel capital campaign continues to gain support among '58s. WaltYusen reports that he has found his work with our classmates on behalf of the campaign to be one of the more pleasant surprises he has enjoyed this year. Must say that has been my experience as well.
