I was in Hanover for Dartmouth Night and the fall class meeting. At Pete Williamson's house in the hills just outside of Lyme, Skip Louis struck the gavel to call our classmates together for our meeting. Joe Jacquet made arrangements for a mini-reunion at the Lyme Inn following the Yale game (Dartmouth 39, Yale 27).

Bob Downey is taking a major role in the College's Will to Excel campaign. Bob is heading up the New York City Major Gift Committee and serves on the executive committee of the campaign. Not surprisingly, my own particular interest in the campaign is the Tucker Foundation, while Bob and his wife, Nancy, are focusing on the arts and science.

Enjoyed a visit with Bill Allyn during our 35th Reunion. Bill continues as president of the medical division of Welch Allyn, located in Skaneateles Falls, N.Y.

While we all know of John Murphy's gifts as our class newsletter editor, you might be interested to know that John has been practicing in the field of personal injury law in the state of Connecticut for the past 30-plus years. Wouldn't I love to be a fly on the wall if he and Dan Quayle should find themselves in the same room.

Next month I shall report the news from the fall class meeting. Drop me a note if there is news you would like to share. Cheers and best wishes from Connecticut.
