The class of 1937 surpassed the Alumni Fund goal of $108,000 by reporting $121,657. Contributors numbered 285, or 89 percent of those eligible. Head Agent Mac Mackenzie organized the agents, and after Mac's death on April 28, Associate Head Agent Lem Bowen rallied the agents and led them to a great finish. Our congratulations to Mac, Lem and all the agents for another great accomplishment for Dartmouth and the class of' 37.

The College sent all classes with reunions a biographical form to secure current information for names, addresses, phone numbers and other new data. Please complete the forms promptly and return to the College. This information will be used for the new class directory. If you have other late changes, please send them to me, your class secretary, as I will be proofreading the copy before it goes to die printer.

Books purchased by our class are placed in Baker Library in memory of deceased classmates. A book plate identifies the classmate in whose memory the book is given. Each widow receives a card telling her of the class gift. Recent acknowledgements were from SallyBullen, Fess Eldred, Janet Hoyt, FloMoore, Janet Munkenbeck, Edwina Pancake, Nancy Wright, and Lyn Prescott.

Important dates for your calendar: September 27-28, mini-reunion in Hanover. Dartmouth will be playing Bucknell in football on Saturday the 27th. Mini-Reunion Cos John Johannessen has completed plans for a great weekend. Class Trips Chairman Ben Doran reports that twenty people are going on the Elbe trip October 5-17. You still have time to join the group. Call Ben or Alumni Holidays, 800/323-7373.

Another date to reserve is the 5 sth Reunion June 15-17, 1992. Reunion Chairman RussStearns and his committees are planning for a memorable time in Hanover.

Recently a copy of Dartmouth Medicine, a magazine for alumni and friends of Dartmouth Medical School and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center appeared in my mailbox. Always looking for class news, I found that the '38 class notes are edited by our own SeyOchsner. There was a good picture of CollieMacCarty and Sey. Collie and Margery forsook the wintry blasts of Wisconsin and Minnesota to spend several months at Silver Dunes in Destin, Fla.

Sey writes that Al Coggeshall enjoys life as a retired surgeon in Greensboro, N.C., and continues working as a class agent.

John Coggeshall and brother Al vacation on an island off Rockland, Maine, where they saw Russ Stearns, who also vacations there. Russ shared a letter with me from RogerPettee who enjoys trout fishing on the Chippewa River in Wisconsin. He plans to float down the Flambeau River ten miles to its juncture with the Chippewa. Roger is planning to be with us for the 55th.

See you at the mini-reunion September 27.
