'Barb and Dana Douglass hoped to survive the busy ski season at their B&B, the Douglass Place in Bethel, Maine. If you are skiing at Sunday River, it is a great place to stay. Barb sent along a resident profile on Will and Nat Brown from Heritage Heights in Concord, N.H. They lived in Dunbarton for 36 years until their move to Heritage Heights. Will has received many awards honoring his environmental and conservation contributions, including Conservationist of the Year in 1986. Together Will and Nat have been in enough organizations to fill the remainder of this column.

Also good news from Phil Swain, who had die same problem. After 36 treatments (radium) he received the instruction to see his doc in six months.
Frank Young sent clippings from the Caroline Parent, published periodically by the Raleigh News and Observer, telling of C.Everett Koop's involvement as co-chair of the national Ready to Learn Campaign. The article states, "In his new job as co-chair of the Carnegie Foundation's Ready to Learn Campaign, he is putting in long hours with the same authoritative, outspoken, decidedly apolitical air people came to know and admire during his eight high-profile years in the federal government." Chick said, "All my life I have sought the marriage of health and education."
Head Agent Fran Fenn has put the '37 Alumni Fund campaign in high gear and asks all classmates to respond generously to the class agents' appeal.
Your secretary and Carolyn enjoyed a twoweek trip to Egypt, the Nile River, Luxor, and Aswan in January. The beauty of the temples, the columns, the pyramids, and the reliefs and paintings in the tombs was overwhelming. "Tho' 'round the girdled earth world they roam." On the plane from Aswan to Abu Simbel, my green Dartmouth Skiway cap attracted Eric Semler '87 to strike up a conversation about Dartmouth.
