87 Ah, October! Makes you think of bonfires, crystalclear starry nights, and late afternoon sun slanting on the Green. With those nostalgic images in mind, I'd like to devote this column to our new class officers and executive committee, elected this past June. These folks will lead our class through out the next five years until our Tenth Reunion.

President is Ginny Wise in Cambridge, and treasurer is Betsy Wall Rutherford in Palo Alto. Chrissy Stearns Drescher out in Chicago and Wendy Becker Mountan in Atherton, Calif., share the position of head agent. Debby Rowe in N.Y.C. and CharlieTritschler of Port Chester, N.Y., will collaborate on the infamous green class newsletter, and yours truly is secretary. Kevin Wilkins, also of Cambridge, represents the class of'87 to the Alumni Council.

Mini-reunions are celebrated in different regions and will be chaired by Sally Adams in Washington, D.C.; Kate Brew in Los Altos for San Francisco; Anne Funk and Betsy Park in Chicago; and Liz O'Connell in Bay Head, N.J. Wow! What a fun crowd—should be some great get-togethers.

The executive committee comprises many experienced '87s who represented us as undergraduates. Mary Halpin Carter lives in South Hamilton, Mass.; Michael Drescher in Chicago; Maurice Holmes in Chicago; Jenn Tisdel in Cambridge; KathleenMcMahon over the river in Boston; PeterMurane in San Francisco; Joe Voves in Newton, Conn.; and Diana Wheeler in New Haven, Conn.

Congratulations to this illustrious group! Don't forget, all these people are open to and eager for your suggestions and comments as am I. Keep writing.

Other news included the prospect of two more Dartmouth engagements. DianeDeLuca and Dave Gabianelli will be married next summer, and Anne Kubik and MikeKrupka are planning their wedding as well. Best of luck! And belated applause for LizMclntyre, who skied to a silver medal in the opening event of the ski season in Tignes, France, back in January. She emerged from two years of retirement to earn a bronze medal in the World Cup mogul competition in British Columbia.
