Just in time for my deadline came a batch of newsy notes which had been sent to our faithful treasurer, HopeFrey, along with class dues.
Warren Turner writes from New Jersey: "Second son, Dr. John D. Turner '60 married (third time) August IS to Elizabeth Stern."
From Largo, Fla., Sig Sigler's typically cheerful message: "Both my wife of 68 years and I are aging gracefully in this retirement home of some 410 retirees who are addicted to the medical profession... No, we were not in the path of Hurricane Andy, which was some 300 miles south. We are still looking for THEM GOLDEN YEARS!"
From Elizabeth Lovejoy of Melrose, Mass.: "Although I still miss Larry, I try to keep busy with church activities, Women's Club, and senior citizen's clubs. Have recently had a knee replacement, but even at age 83 I plan to continue to teach my piano pupils." (Elizabeth's charming note paper is in the shape of a grand piano.)
And Frances Durling's September news from Norfolk, Conn.: "We have been here since the end of May and are returning to Defray Beach, Fla., at the end of the month. Ray's oldest granddaughter is being married in Miami on October 3. Everything was arranged, and when the hurricane hit Miami it took part of Ray's son's roof off and did a lot of damage to the house. They are going ahead with the wedding, but it is hard on them. Miami is just a mess, no street signs anywhere, and no one knows how to find their way Hoping to see you in the spring."
A most welcome parcel of family news! Please send more to Hope or me!
