At last some "living" news to report! I was worried about not receiving word from faithful correspondent Wendell "Sig" Sigler for a long time, but was happy to receive a holiday message from him and Betty in "sunny Floriday." He writes, "It's later than we think. I did appreciate your note on Gus (Sonnenberg). He was quite a guy in our dorm and in later years." I hope Sig will be around to represent 1920 in the year 2000. He's "quite a guy," too!
And a very heartening note from Lowell H. Holway Jr. '53: "I have been meaning for some time to tell you that I feel a surge of joy when I see 1920 at the top of the classes in the DAM. I enjoy it especially since I remember meeting Bud(Weymouth) in the old Inn Coffee Shop between 1949-1953. It's especially interesting to me when some of the members of 1920 are mentioned. I remember many of them since I have been reading '20 notes since I was 10 years old in 1941. I am the son of Lowell H. Holway '20, and you might be interested in knowing that my son Lowell H. Holway III '90 reads the '20 notes before all others.... Please accept my thanks, for a monthly charge of joy. Please keep the '20 notes at the top of the class panel." And Lowell, please accept my thanks for the "surge of joy" your letter gave me. It would be great to hear from other '20 family members.
Faithfully,
