"Alumni of an educational institution are like the wake of a ship; they spread out and ultimately disappear, but not until they make a few waves" (Anonymous).

One such undulation, so huge it should be called a tsunami, was created this year by the great class of 1932 with its Alumni Fund drive at its 60th Reunion. Under the leadership of Milt Alpert, with the assistance of Bill Lieson and other class agents, the magnificent sum of $105,905 was presented to President Freedman for the fund.

And speaking of Milt, he has been to a health center in North Carolina, is dieting, has lost 25 pounds, and feels fine. He went to another reunion with 12 of his family in New York's Catskills. On October 2 he returned to Hanover for the Alumni Fund Weekend. There he received the Chairman's Citation for Outstanding Service, and his two undergraduate grandsons were present. Congratulations and well deserved, Milt.

George Blaesi has returned to Sun City from Prescott, Ariz., where he and Diane spend summers. He has recovered nicely from a July heart attack.

Meanwhile, back in Hanover on September 19, 16 fortunate classmates held a micro-reunion. (We prefer this rather than mini-mini). The Aliens, Corbetts, Freemans,Marcuses, Olmsteds, Pierponts, along with Terry Nitschelm, Harry Rowe, DickStoiber, and Jay Whitehair picked a beautiful day to watch the Big Green beat Penn. A number of them were able to join together for dinner at the Inn.

Word has been received from LouisHeavenrich that his cousin and our classmate Max Heavenrich died September 15. An obituary will be in a later issue of the magazine.
