Your executive committee met in Hanover over the Home-coming Weekend this past October. Our presence there must have stirred the athletic teams, as Dartmouth was victorious over Cornell in almost every event. Crowded into the Blunt conference room, John Murphy ably led us through an agenda which ranged from our 35 th Reunion gift goal, which was established at $858,000, to Sally Prescott's report on the national campaign, to our class gifts to the College. We shall continue our support of the student writing center, plant several more trees on the campus, and increase by $100 our support of the athlete-visitation program.

Gathered 'round the table and hanging from the rafters were John Whiteley, John Otis, Dick Jacob, Norm Sylvester, Sam Smith, Don Maurer, Skip Louis, Bob Eleveld, Ralph Manuel, Don McCree, Walt Vail, Ron Snow, Dick Jacob, BenMcAdams Joe Carter, Pete Williamson, Dave Bradley, Walt Yusen, Gary Finerty, Bob Pratt, Joe Jacquet, Bob Gilges, Jerry Mann, Phil Wood, John Trimble, Jim Fannin, and Pete Herman. "Though 'round the girdled earth they roam," it was quite a gathering of our classmates. Only John Murphy's firm hand and complete mastery of Robert's Rules of Order made it possible for your executive committee to adjourn for a pre-game party at Dave Bradley's office.

Dick Jacob writes, "The Reunion Committee reminds you to make plans for the 35 th Reunion on June 15-18, 1992. You will be receiving a letter with a tentative schedule of events and activities shortly. As a part of your planning, why not call up old friends and urge them to join you?"

John Otis will be chairing the nominating committee with Walt Vail and Dave Bradley filling out the committee. Send in your nominations to me and I shall see that they are sent along to John and his committee. The election will take place at reunion.

In addition to finding time to attend the executive committee meeting, Sam Smith will be taking on the responsibility of being the secretary of the New England, Quebec, and Atlantic Provinces district of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists for the next three years. Sam is also the chairman of obstetrics and gynecology at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Connecticut. While most of us are past the child-conceiving stage of life, Sam might be helpful as we begin to enter the world of grandparenting.

Price Waterhouse, New York, announced this past fall that Roger Bruttomesso has been appointed chairman of its non-profit groups practice. The way that the recession has gripped the New England area, Roger should have lots of business! I realize that is not what non-profits are about, but, what the heck, we can use all the help we can get in these times.

Phil Bell continues his work in the realestate world of Phoenix, Ariz., where he is the president of P.B. Bell & Associates. If you are looking for an apartment in Phoenix, he is clearly the person to call.
