Since today marks a scant 26 days before I take the long walk down the aisle of matrimony, you can rest assured that finding fodder for this column has not been foremost on my mind. Suffice to say that it was something of a struggle to focus on my secretarial duties, though of course I figured out a way to dig up some news. (For the record, I only briefly considered my fiancee's suggestion that I make up the entire column using fake names to see if anyone noticed.) To the class list I went and decided for no particular reason to focus on the B's. My first call went to Willa Ridinger Bagnall, who now works for the New Haven, Conn., law firm of Kennedy & Johnson. When not appearing in court, Willa spends time teaching aerobics and living with her husband, Donald, and their one- year-old daughter Rebecca in the headmaster's house at Hopkins, where Donald is the head athletic trainer.

Willa said she sees Chris Cogguillo around. He and his wife, Jorie, have made two new acquisitions: a house in Milford, Conn., and a son, William, in January. Cogs is a dentist in the area. Willa also hears from TisaHughes who, after finishing U-Chicago law school, is practicing health law for Ropes and Gray in Boston, and Rebecca GlimpeBrewster, who has graduated from the Harvard School of Education and is living in Belmont, Mass., with husband Toby '83.

Moving onward, I tried Jane Blansfield, who has moved on to New after a four- year stint in Madrid. Her jobs there ranged from English teacher to a stringer and free- lance writer for an international news service. Jane is working on a novel about her experience in Spain and avoids being a "starving writer" by working as an editor for an international law firm, Coudert Brothers.

Jane said she frequently sees LaurieKretchmar, who works for Fortune Magazine as a reporter and goes "blading" with jane in Central Park. In her spare time—though I wonder how one writing a novel has much spare time Jane has worked on developing a data-base of agencies looking for volunteers in the New York area. She has made the listing available to the Alumni Association and any Dartmouth grads who take the trouble to look her up in the book (on West 83 rd).

A few wrong numbers and several answering machines later, I got hold of StephenBradley, who lives in Ridgefield, Conn., where he and his wife, Jane, an executive recruiter, were anxiously awaiting their baby, due in May. Stephen works for the Gartner Group, a technology research firm where he is an analyst for the software industry. He looks forward to the August wedding of Gamma Delt fraternity brother Mike Marriott to Whitney de Hossen in New Jersey. The two met in New York, where Mike works for Smith Barney making money the old-fashioned way. (Paper Chase was on cable last night so I have John Houseman on the brain.)

Stephen also hears from AlexFeatherstone, who works for the state department in D.C. After tours in Paraguay, Oslo, and Belize, Alex is studying Russian in preparation for another stint abroad. There was no answer when I tried calling RichBrown in New Mexico, and the operator gave me the wrong Wallace Butler in Alexandria, Va., so I had to settle for a call to DavidBranelle's sister Susan. She told me that her brother is finishing up his studies at UVM Med School with a three-month program practicing medicine in China and Taiwan. He'll be back in May.

Finally, Curt Ollayos writes that he and Christine are celebrating the arrival of their second child, Spencer Knowles, who was born January 9 and joins brother Jeremy. With that, I conclude my last column as a single man. Till next we talk.
