When I have the space I try to come up with an interesting introduction to my columns—one that sort of eases you into the column. I don't have one this month.

Kendrick and Rali Wakeman had their first child, Holly Noble, last October. Kendrick is a partner in an investment management firm, and Rali will start at Yale Law this fall. MichaelO'Neil started teaching American history at an American school in the Dominican Republic this month after graduating from Stanford with a Master of Arts and Teaching.

Nick Stanham is now entering his second year at Georgetown Law. Nitin Kumar is starting his third year at U-Penn medical school. Matt Greene is entering his second and final year of Colorado U. at Boulder's graduate political science program; he's focusing on public policy and conflict mitigation.

Lisa Verb is living in Seattle, Wash., with husband Marcus Harrington '87. She began working on her M.A. in vocal performance at the University of Washington this summer. Nicolas Brown joined his family's film business after graduation and has been making adventure films in places like Mexico, Indonesia, and New Zealand. Future films will cover such topics as management of our natural resources in the West.

Liz H. Allen Edgar was at Harvard during the past school year getting her teacher's cerification and master's in education; her husband, James, plans to enter the same program this year. Dana Weintraub went with the Worldleach program to Khayelitsha, a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, to teach physed and set up after-school sports programs at elementary schools there.

Working for Congressman Les Aspin's Armed Services Committee is Eric Fanning. Eric works mostly with the committee's counselor, a former Dartmouth professor. He is also head of our class's fundraising efforts (results were not available as of this writing). He reported that Erik Goetze headed to the Central African Republic in April as a Peace Corps volunteer. Erik was originally assigned to Haiti, but that assignment was aborted by the coup in that country.

A man who confirms my claim that '90s turn to the Class Notes first, Matt Lindsey wrote in to say he quit UVA, where he was studying classics, and took a job with State Street Bank, Boston, in information systems development. Instead of reading ancient inscriptions, he's now reading technical manuals and computer magazines. Matt's living in Swampscott, Mass.

Vladi Stanojevic is the proud father of Alexander Michael, born February 24.

Kate Griffiths Harrison is working on her master's in early childhood education at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pa. She taught first grade during the pastyear in Philly. Kate married Phil Harrison '89 last August in Hanover; about 100 of our classmates were present.

Another law student, Paul Haffner, has been studying at the U. of Cincinnati law school. He reports Sean Callan is a secondyear student there. Phil Privitera will be at Boston College Law this fall.

Just a program note: you have probably heard that Sandy Yusen has taken over the duty of writing our class newsletter. You know that green card you received in the mail? Be sure to return it to her with info about what you're doing.

Toi Blount wrote, "I rarely read in the '9O section of anyone I know." Well, Toi, ShirleyMenard is someone you know; she's entering her second year at Fordham Law in New York City Dawn Generals and Victor Smith '89 have a one-year-old daughter, Bionca. "Toi is working in New York at TV Channel 13, a public broadcasting station, in the human resources department.

If you, like Toi, want to read about people you "actually know," then why not send me some news about those people at your earliest convenience? It's the easiest way to solve that problem. And it'll make you feel real good inside.
