Did anyone else notice that calendar flip over and expose 1968? Was it really 1958 when we matriculated and heard "your business here is learning" for the first time?
The Christmas mailman brought annual greetings from many of you. Thanks for the thoughts and the bits of information.
The Lou Settis are happily spreading Lou's broad A for the benefit of bewildered New Yorkers. Lou and Pieg request that all in the city dial 870-4739 for home cooking and a bag.
Buried under the books while awaiting the Mass. Bar Exam is Gordi Williamson. Nad and Marlene report being active setting up a permanent home in Boston. Probably looking for a place with a guest room for the Bullet to visit.
Yes, Virginia, Dave Gundy is alive and lives in Minnesota. Ka writes that he is about half way through his internship at the University of Minn. Hospital. Ka took a year's absence from Cornell Med School for detailed research before completing his degree and heading for Minn. Dave professes he enjoys the area, but misses the good skiing mountains. Presently he is sharing an apartment with Pete Brink '64 in Minneapolis. By the way, Guns, you did meet Susan at the '65 Harvard game. Remember?
John Wilkinson's better half sent on a long letter from Minnesota also. Judy reports that Tom Cranna is studying law at the U. of Minn, and that he and Bonnie are the proud parents of twin boys (a set of defensemen?), Judy also mentions they see Dave Gundy and adds that whenever the young doctor becomes a bit undernourished he visits the Wilkinson table. John and Judy spent a week in January skiing in Aspen with the Chuck Daytons '61 and the Dick Beatties '61. Incidentally the Wilkinson heirs apparent, Lara and Lane, are quite handsome (obviously Judy's side).
Send all your film for developing on to Kent Morton at Eastman Kodak. Kent and Dianne, along with young J.C. and golden retriever, Sparty, dress up a new home in Fairport, N.Y. All reports indicate they arc enjoying being back East again even if it's just a bit different from California.
Jim Murar is beginning his fourth year in the real estate development business for Rancho, Calif. It's hard to believe that my god child is starting school next fall. Jim, Robbi, Mandy, and mother Janet are all hale and hearty. Jim reports that his brother- in-law, Dave Walsh is also living in Southern California and he and Emmy (time for some more cookies) were recently presented a second son. Al Huck stops by often to make it a good Kappa Sig gathering.
Congratulations are in order for Jay and Ellen Moyer who welcomed their first son, James Edward last October 30. Young Jim sits in the third seat at the Moyer house, behind older sisters, Sherri and Jennifer. Jay says that Jim is very aggressive, but needs some work on his 1-A move. Real fine, there.
The old class scribe is on his way to Viet Nam. Paul Weinberg sends his best while awaiting shipment to Saigon where he is "scheduled" to be with the Judge Advocate's Office, 4th Transportation Command. I know that all of us send our prayers to Paul for a safe tour of duty as we do for all serving in that area of S.E. Asia. Paul will have to postpone his law practice until September of 1970 when Uncle Sam lets him go.
This issue marks the end of two years of filling in for Paul. (He didn't say anything about four years.) It's been a very rewarding experience for me as it enables me to keep in touch with most of you and with most developments at the College. As a way of kicking off the next two-year plan, I'd appreciate suggestions from you as to how the column can be improved (one way to guarantee correspondence).
